Meyer Denim Workshop

meyerdenimworkshop.ridenjoy.fi →

What?

A site for a small family-run denim studio in Helsinki — repairs, alterations, made-to-measure work and small-batch pieces, all done by hand by Julia Meyer. Seven pages: home, about, price list, shop, gallery, denim care and visit, plus gift cards through the shop. Built from nothing.

Why?

I was already maintaining ridenjoy.fi, Meyer family owned wakeboarding buisness website.

There was a need for a secoond site, for their denim workshop. And I was asked to do it.

Taking inspiration from visiting workshop and having cofee together I made this site.

How?

WordPress, hosted on Domainhotelli, Using subdomain, so that there is no need buying new domain and making clear that workshop is a part of the ridenjoy. Theme made from scratch, using reference pictures that were given to me. Design and code are built using claude. The opposite approach from this site, where I do everything myself. Here the point was that the owner can change things without going through me — a site nobody maintains is a site that goes stale.

What's next?

All thought this site don't need active maintanance, there is always something to improve and new ideas. So I will polish it and keep it up to date and functional.
