What?

The Meyer family's company site. I didn't build it — I took it over from whoever did, and I keep it running: updates, fixes and changes as the business needs them.

What I found

Taking site over I wasn't familiar with wordpress and woocomerece, I never worked with payment systems. And the site built eclectic, no internal logic. It looks quite old and have problems sometimes, that needs to be solved. Some problems I and owner encountered I wasn't able to solve, but I am learning and getting expirience.

What I've changed

I made all kind of small things, creating new products, fixing pages, fixing database entries etc.

Perhaps more important are the things I did not made yet, like a full front end rebuild, having concers over not braking the site when it's supposed to generate for the whole year. I am taking more safe approach, making backups and waiting for the right time, when it will not affect the income.

Why it matters

Building a site once is the easy half. Reading somebody else's work, changing it without breaking a business that's already running on it, and still being there a year later is the part most people skip.
